From September 2014 “Universal Free School Meals” will be available for every child attending school in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, regardless of income or eligibility for benefits.

Although infant children will all be eligible for a free school meal, the school will continue to hold a separate “Free School Meals Register” for those families who qualify. This enables the school to allocate Pupil Premium funding and at Stoke Park Schools we offer the following to all families who successfully register:

  • A Free place at After School Club Activities – this will enable your child to stay at school until 4.10pm, participating in a variety of clubs we offer
  • Free toast for children in Years 1-6 attending Breakfast Club
  • A half price place on the Residential Trip in Year 6, for all children who register and renew their registration when required
  • A free book bag for Reception class children
  • One free school sweat shirt (beginning of each year)

Parents or Carers can apply for Free School Meals if they are in receipt of any of the following benefits:

  • Income Support
  • Job Seekers Allowance (Income Based)
  • Employment and Support Allowance (Income Related)
  • Child Tax Credit (but no Working Tax Credit is being received by the claimant or his/her partner and the combined annual income is assessed by HMIR on a TC602 form does not exceed £16,190)
  • The Guaranteed Element of Pension Tax Credit
  • You receive support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
